Quality Control

All our factories have been awarded ISO9001-2000, UL and CE Certificates, etc. And we always adopt advanced manufacturing technologies supported by state-of-the-art production facilities and flawless quality control.
1. Quality Control
The concept of "user-oriented product development" is embodied in all products. We want all our products to provide users with the best performance possible. To achieve this, checks and inspections conforming to strict quality standards are repeatedly made throughout the entire production process, from incoming materials to component assembly and the finished product. 
Our continuous efforts for quality improvement have been done by us by the latest electronics technology through automatic inspection and test equipment. In the reliability test rooms, vital precision checks are conducted under simulated operating conditions of every kind. These include capacity, charge/discharge and cycle life checks, computerized measurements, and high/low temperature, thermo cycle and vibration checks. Immediate feedback of computer-analyzed test results to each production line and to the Research and Development Division makes an important contribution to the perfection of quality control. 
2. Manufacturing Technology 
We are continuing intensive research, reaching for new horizons in electronics technology. Our integrated research and development structure has realized state-of-the-art technology in a number of areas. Since mass production of our valve regulated lead-acid batteries began, innovative technological developments have made them higher capacity, lighter weight and more quickly chargeable. Using advanced technologies, we have greatly reduced the disadvantages inherent in conventional lead-acid batteries and successfully enhanced their image. The raw materials for electrodes, upon which the performance of our lead-acid battery totally depends, are 99.99% pure lead. Our negative electrode absorption system allows complete enclosure, requiring no supply of water and ensuring total leakage prevention. Other innovative technologies, include the development of an alloy for positive electrodes that can enhance battery power recovery after being over discharged. 
3. Production Facility 
Highly reliable, advanced technology is also required for the production facilities themselves to produce high-performance, high-quality products that can win the confidence of users. By promoting advanced automation and systematization for production lines, ahead of the competition, we have improved product quality and productivity. For MCA valve regulated lead-acid batteries in particular, the production lines of the electrodes-the nerve centers of a battery-are specialized per product series. Designed to meet a full variety of user needs, these lines are capable of flexible response to all kinds of shapes and sizes.  MCA production expertise is incorporated into every production process of these valve regulated lead-acid batteries. These streamlined automated production systems have greatly contributed to improvement in both quality and productivity. State-of-the-art facilities and semi-automated production lines, are integrated. The result is the highest precision guaranteed for every product supported utilizing highly reliable and advanced technology. 
4. Capacity test 
A battery is discharged at the 0.3C rate. After 120 minutes of continuous discharge, the battery voltage under load must be 1.75VPC (C = rated capacity of a battery; e.g., GP12180, C = 18AH.) 
5. Cycle life test 
At an ambient temperature of 77oF (25oC), a  MCA battery is discharged at the 0.2C rate to 1.70VPC and recharged at the 0.25C rate up to 2.5VPC until charge current drops to 0.01C amps. At least 175 cycles must be obtained before the capacity drops below 60% of the initial capacity. 
6. Overcharge test 
A fully- charged battery is overcharged at the constant current of 0.1CA for 48 hours, and then allowed to rest for 2 hours. Then the battery is continuously discharged at a constant current of 0.05CA until it discharges to an average of 1.75VPC. The appearance of a tested battery after the test must be free of irregular conditions, and the capacity should be at 95% or the nominal capacity. 
7. High load test 
A battery is under a load of 2C amps for 5 minutes while the terminal voltage is monitored. To pass, the voltage must be 1.75 VPC or higher. 
8. Sealing Test 
The following functions must be satisfied by the fully charged battery after It is overcharged for 48 consecutive hours at a 0.1CA current and for 24 consecutive hours at a 0.005CA current. 
9. Sealing Reaction Efficiency 
The sealing reaction efficiency must be 90% or more of the quantity of electricity which is converted by 251 atm per Ah. 
10. Safety valve Function 
The safety valve must be opened or closed without fail within the range of internal pressure of the battery from 30kpa to 50kpa. 
11. Safety 
The battery must be free of leaks and other defects. 
12. Storage Test
The fully charged battery will be stored for 6 months under the temperature of 25℃ then discharged continuously at the constant current of 0.05CA up to the average cut-off voltage of discharge of 1.75V per cell. The capacity at this time must be 60% or more of the nominal capacity. 
13. Vibration Test 
A vibration of 1.000 cycles per minute at the full amplitude of 4mm will be applied on any side of the fully charged battery for 60 minutes then check to see if the battery has endured against the vibration, test without any broken parts or leaks , and its terminal voltage is hold higher than the nominal voltage. 
14. Shock Test 
The fully charged battery will be dropped three times without applying any extra force from 0.2m high onto a harden wood (about 50mm thick) Then check to see if the battery has endured in the test without noticeable breakage or leaks, and its terminal voltage is held higher than the nominal voltage. 
15. Other Tests 
Other tests, if required by the specification, shall be conducted according to the instructions given in the specification.
